Iām currently working with a reputable and well-established mid-tier firm based in Kent, known for its strong presence across the SME and OMB market. The firm services a range of clients and sectors from corporate all the way through to not for profit, and this office in particular will cover the Kent and London regions, and some other parts of Southern England.
The audit team places a strong emphasis on collaboration, professional development, and internal progression. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning audit assignments by understanding budgets, objectives, and gathering relevant background information.
- Lead and execute audit engagements to a high technical standard, demonstrating adaptability and a solutions-focused approach.
- Prepare and review financial statements and other non-audit related work as required.
- Take increasing ownership of the audit process from start to finish, including reporting and follow-up.
- Delegate tasks effectively, support junior team members through training and review, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly FRS 102.
- Proven experience within a UK-based mid-market accountancy practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated with a clear drive for personal and professional development.
