The team is seeking a qualified Assistant Manager with experience gained in a UK practice environment. The role sits within an outsourced accounting function and combines hands-on technical work with responsibility for supporting client delivery and the supervision of junior team members, working closely with Managers and senior stakeholders.
The service offering includes:
- Preparation and review of statutory financial statements, bookkeeping and management accounts
- Delivery of outsourced accounting support, including supporting interim or secondment assignments
- Coordination and support of local statutory accounting and reporting for clients with cross-border operations and financial reporting requirements
- Assisting clients with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their year-end reporting cycles, including audit coordination and filing processes
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of outsourced accounting engagements to a high technical and professional standard
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, responding to accounting and reporting queries and escalating issues as appropriate
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and related outputs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls for clients
- Supervise, coach, and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong grounding in financial reporting, with the ability to apply accounting standards from first principles where required
- Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with exposure to US GAAP as a plus
- Experience using accounting systems and strong Excel capabilities
- Professional, delivery-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to different client environments
- Experience supervising junior staff, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively and support the development of others
