An established and growing private client tax practice is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its Midlands team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional to work with a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurs, business owners, high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

The Role
As an Associate Director, you will lead the delivery of bespoke tax solutions to a broad range of private clients, helping them navigate complex tax matters and achieve their personal and commercial objectives.
You will work closely with business owners, shareholders and senior stakeholders, providing strategic advice across a range of private client tax issues.
Alongside managing client relationships, you will contribute to the development of junior team members and support wider business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private clients, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact.
- Provide strategic advice on personal tax planning, shareholder matters, business succession and transaction-related tax issues.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand service offerings.

About You
You will be an experienced private client tax professional with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to develop long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong technical grounding in UK personal tax and private client advisory work.
Experience
- Extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses and shareholders.
- Strong knowledge of succession planning, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and shareholder tax planning.
- Experience advising clients in connection with corporate transactions, exits and reorganisations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex advisory projects and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proven track record of winning and developing client relationships and generating advisory opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to engage with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
