Job Purpose

The Supply Planner is responsible for creating the brewing and finished goods production plans, that meets our customers requirements on time and in full, as well as managing inventory effectively, and minimising finished goods obsolescence.

Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create a supply plan that balances efficiency, stock freshness, stock levels and customer availability.
  • Plan the finished goods for NPD and delists, to ensure new products launch on time.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory levels of finished goods, with a portfolio of over 100 SKUs.
  • Communicate any potential shortages or over stocks to supply chain and sales teams.
  • Coordinate with materials planning to ensure supply plans are achievable with materials plans.
  • Interact with scheduling, packaging and brewing teams to agree on supply plans.
  • Create supply strategies to deal with different types of products and to manage events.
  • Identify long term strategic supply opportunities that create efficiencies and reduce cost within the supply chain and operations.
  • Undertake a critical role within the weekly planning & production meetings.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement within the role.
  • Assist in the development and implementation on any supply planning tools or system improvements.
  • Contribute to the S&OP cycle by undertaking analysis, or preparing content to present in the Supply Review.

Key Relationships - Internal & External

Key stakeholders are scheduling, materials planning, demand planning, packaging, brewing, procurement, maintenance and warehousing. Other key internal stakeholders include NPD, finance and marketing.

  • Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog.
  • Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

General

  • Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times.
  • Take part in crew reviews throughout the year.
  • Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required.
  • Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Apply the BrewDog charter and behaviours to every aspect of the role at all times.

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training

A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or a similar field is desirable.

Experience

Demonstrable experience in a similar supply planning role, or similar, and preferably within an FMCG environment.

Knowledge

Understanding of supply planning processes, including inventory policies and planning strategies.

Skills

  • Advanced excel skills and ability to manipulate and analyse complex data.
  • Developed stakeholder management and engagement skills, including communication and negotiation.
  • Basic commercial awareness, including the impact volumes have on costs.

Personal Attributes

  • Calm and resilient when faced with high pressure.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with high levels of change.
  • Proactive and uses own initiative.

Additional Requirements

Preference for Ellon based role, but candidates in the Central Belt would also be considered.
