About The Role

Job Purpose
The Senior National Account Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of priority strategic accounts. The role focuses on high-level strategy development; they are the driving force for devising, implementing, and reviewing these, taking ownership of account planning, leading negotiations, and coordinating cross-functional teams with clarity & purpose
Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Shape account-level strategies to maximise revenue growth and market share within account base.

  • Lead account planning processes to ensure strategic alignment with customer needs and BrewDog goals.

  • Drive negotiations to secure optimal conversion of revenue to profit.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams, ensuring they are the main director of all account initiatives across shopper marketing and category management.

  • Champion use of customer sales and shopper data to ensure BrewDog strategy remains relevant and customer-centric over time.

  • Effectively manages time, prioritising actions that add the most value to BrewDog and priority account(s).

  • Devise contingency plans to recover if revenue or profit is falling short of budget/forecasts, react to challenges with fully costed solutions.

  • Analyse pricing and promotional performance and react to optimise.

  • Advocate the customer’s interests within BrewDog to ensure relevant stakeholders are knowledgeable and informed about the account.

  • Prepare and present innovative ideas that could improve BrewDog customer and channel performance.

  • Lead by example to junior team members, sharing examples of best practice and positively contributing to team environment and culture

  • Buyers that cover all of BrewDog portfolio needs e.g Craft & Ale, Lager, Stout etc

Health & Safety
  • Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times

  • Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog

  • Complete online or face to face training as and when

  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work

Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

General
  • Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times

  • Take part in crew reviews throughout the year

  • Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors

  • Attend training courses and complete online
    training modules as required to meet the
    requirements of the role

  • Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills

  • Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business

  • Apply the BrewDog charter and behaviours to every aspect of the role at all times

  • Protect and enhance the interests and reputation of BrewDog internally and externally

About You

Experience
Minimum 3+ years of account management experience across UK Off or On trade, demonstrating ability / potential to work at a more senior level.
Knowledge

Understanding of the UK off trade, especially the convenience and wholesale sectors

Detailed understanding of financial levers and profit drivers & ability to manage the risk of commercial decisions through well thought through terms and conditionality

Skills

Detailed understanding of principles of category-based selling, strategic account planning and B2B negotiations as well as forecasting, invoicing and managing account level P&L’s

Effective and clear communicator, able to present to & influence stakeholders of all levels.

Understands differing perspectives and personality types and can adjust their approach accordingly.

Personal Attributes

Ability to think strategically and set a vision for accounts, drawing on data to substantiate plans & capability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrates resilience to handle high pressure situations, adapting to changing conditions and shifting expectations with ease.
