About The Role

Job Purpose: The Productivity manager drives structured, value-led delivery of projects and operational excellence across Production and Supply Chain, enabling sustained improvements in safety, quality, capacity, cost, and performance. Acting as both a delivery leader and independent challenge, they ensure that projects and initiatives are well-defined, prioritised, and executed effectively, supported by robust governance, data-driven decision making, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role is accountable for building and maintaining a medium- to long-term improvement pipeline, leading high-impact projects, and embedding operational excellence disciplines and management routines that improve execution capability and organisational maturity. Through strengthening operational rhythms and continuous improvement capability, the role helps ensure that Production and Supply Chain are aligned, resilient, and focused on delivering sustainable performance.

Key Result Area / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project & Operational Initiative Delivery Overview: Oversee the supply chain project and initiatives agenda and strategy, ensuring all have structured plans within each production and supply chain team. Identify project risks and respective blockers, and ensure mitigations are in place, coordinating and leading the project and initiative review cadences.
  • Medium to Long Term Pipeline Development: Work with the cross functional teams to build and maintain a medium to long term rolling pipeline of projects and initiatives that deliver safety, quality, capacity and cost improvements in production and supply chain. Maintain and update capacity models on a regular basis to feed this pipeline and help inform business decision making. Act as an independent verifier of projects and initiatives proposed to ensure value can be unlocked for the business.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and deliver 3-4 significant projects annually, ideally cross-functional, to maximize efficiencies and reduce siloed operations. Drive projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with production and supply chain objectives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Operational Excellence: Define the forward plan for implementation of operational excellence throughout the site, building the knowledge of the operations support managers and a wider cohort of operational excellence champions. Support the deployment of operational excellence techniques throughout production and supply chain working with the cross functional teams to ensure understanding and adherence to these techniques. Ensure best practice techniques and relevant training are undertaken for yourself and others.
  • Data Validation & Analysis: Develop and coordinate cross-functional teams to support their understanding of how, what and where their data comes from including what it means and how they can use it. Support the cross-functional team with their development to ensure ownership of this data sits within the operational teams. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure requirements are gathered effectively and efficiently, and that they are then translated into relevant and usable solutions and reporting methods.
  • Operational and Management Routines: Own the daily, weekly and monthly management routines for production including the running of weekly and monthly meetings. Continue to evolve and develop these routines and structures as we continue to mature as an organisation. Support the wider supply chain in deployment of their operational routines.

Internal: Finance, Production (H&S, Brewing, Packaging & Warehouse, Distilling, Engineering), Supply Chain (Planning, Hop Hub, Quality, Beer Development), IT, NPD.

External: As required.

Health and Safety: Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times. Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog. Complete online or face to face training as and when required. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work. Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

General: Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times. Take part in crew reviews throughout the year. Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors. Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required to meet the requirements of the role. Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills. Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business. Apply the BrewDog charter and behaviours to every aspect of the role at all times. Protect and enhance the interests and reputation of BrewDog internally and externally.

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent productivity methodologies preferred.

Experience: Proven experience in productivity or project management roles, ideally within a supply chain or operational environment. Demonstrated success in managing capital budgets and delivering cross-functional productivity projects.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management principles, risk assessment, and productivity metrics. Familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking in a project management context.

Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software for tracking productivity and budget adherence. Strong analytical skills for pipeline development and risk mitigation.

Personal Attributes: Results-oriented and proactive, with a strategic mindset for driving productivity improvements. Collaborative, adaptable, and focused on cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement. Detail-oriented and committed to building a culture of best practice and efficiency.
