About The Role
We at BrewDog have one mission. We want to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the forefront of that mission, delivering amazing beer & customer service at all times.
We are looking for an HR Partner to support teams across various sites in the south - covering London, Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham. This is a London based role with the expectation that there will be an element of travel between sites to best understand the different bars that we have and to build relationships with the teams, whilst understanding their local areas.
You will provide strategic HR support to all bars in the South area, including their teams and the Central Bars team, ensuring that our people remain at the core of everything we do. Drawing on your expertise in HR practices and your in-depth understanding of bar operations, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and line managers to deliver tailored HR solutions that drive a positive workplace culture.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational values. You will be a candid collaborator, offering open, honest feedback and insights while also acting as an accountability partner to ensure that best practices are followed. Through coaching, support, and guidance, you will help leaders navigate people policies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
This role sits within the wider Tilray International HR team. This role is based in our London office, but requires on-site presence in each of the bars in the South area at least once per month. You will report directly into the Head of Bars HR.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Advising in Business Partner capacity to the Bars teams, supporting on People Operations.
- Provide guidance and coaching to Line Managers in implementing best practices for employee relations, fostering a transparent and collaborative approach.
- Manage, navigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, including system queries, conflict resolution, flexible working requests, disciplinary actions and grievance procedures.
- Providing timely and professional support to ensure that business needs are met, and legal obligations fulfilled.
- Oversee and manage every stage of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding, acting as an accountability partner throughout the entire process.
- Developing, communicating and updating policies and guidance as required by business circumstances or changes in employment law.
- Leading on learning and development for your business area to develop solutions to increase capability across teams.
- Be proactive in understanding context and offering solutions.
- Research and identify ER case trends and implement required solutions to drive change and create consistency across the business.
- Management of monthly reporting and discussion of people analytics with key stakeholders.
- Overseeing completion of P2G appraisals and reporting, holding teams accountable for completion.
- Coordinate recordkeeping and data processing procedures comply with GDPR.
- Oversee various HR projects in alignment with HR strategy.
- Research and keep up to date with employment law updates, HR trends and best practices.
- Day to Day management and responding to queries in the People Team Inbox.
- Working as part of the wider Tilray International HR team to deliver Tilray initiatives, projects and priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFIC TRAINING:
CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner.
- A solid understanding of the unique challenges of working in hospitality is essential.
- Proven track record of coaching and engaging with stakeholders at leadership level.
- Experience of identifying training needs and developing and delivering appropriate learning and development solutions.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth level of understanding and knowledge of HR processes and Employment Law.
- Good understanding and ability with using various HRIS, proficient and confident in all Microsoft applications in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
SKILLS:
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate multiple tasks and prioritise levels of importance.
- Ability to engage stakeholders manage conflict and inspire trust and purpose.
- Strong relationship building capabilities communication and influencing skills.
