BrewDog’s mission is simple: make people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the heart of that mission — pouring awesome beer, serving great food and building communities around good times. BrewDog Waterloo is unlike any other site in our estate. It’s bigger, busier and more complex — and that means bigger opportunities. As Deputy General Manager, you’ll play a defining role in shaping one of our most important venues and building something truly standout. You’ll lead from the front, drive service standards at scale and build a high‑performing, people‑first culture across one of the most unique hospitality venues in the country.

Benefits

  • 45‑hour contract and paid overtime
  • Competitive Bonus - 25% of annual salary and additional 10% overachievement bonus
  • £4 hot meals on shift
  • Safe Ride Home - £5 taxi home contribution for any shift finishing after midnight
  • BrewDog crew discount - 50% off beer, cocktails and merch + 25% off food
  • 4 week paid sabbatical after 5 years service
  • World-class beer training - we’ll support you through the internationally recognised Cicerone qualifications (and yes, you’ll taste a lot of beer along the way)
  • Additional perks - enhanced sick pay, life assurance, retail discounts, employee assistance programmes, enhanced family policies, extra holidays, pawternity leave, DE&IT groups and crew forums

Responsibilities

  • Own service for Waterloo, leading Bar, Floor and Host teams. Set the tone on shift, driving energy, standards and consistency across a high-volume, high-profile site.
  • Act as the operational lead for Service, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments
  • Coach, develop and inspire a large team
  • Take accountability for labour planning, productivity and service KPIs
  • Drive guest satisfaction, resolving challenges confidently and maintaining exceptional standards under pressure
  • Partner closely with the GM and senior team to deliver commercial performance, service innovation and continuous improvement
  • Embed a strong culture of beer knowledge, training and hospitality excellence across the site

This role is larger than a typical DGM position. Waterloo is effectively multiple venues under one roof, and this role requires the mindset and capability of a General Manager within a uniquely structured flagship site.

Qualifications

  • You’ll already be operating at a senior leadership level within a high-volume hospitality environment. You understand what it takes to run complex service operations and lead large teams without losing the detail.
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-layered teams in a fast-paced venue
  • A strong service mindset – you know how to deliver high standards at high volume
  • The ability to manage managers: coaching, performance-managing and developing leaders
  • Calm, visible leadership – you thrive under pressure and set the emotional tone for your team
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and beer, with a drive to create a best-in-class guest experience
