About The Role

Job Purpose: To support our UK & International sales team (predominantly in the On Trade) via commercial analysis, reporting and providing insights to ensure robust decision making and a clear understanding of financial implications.

Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the planning processes for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans. You'll be the architect of our financial templates, data, and reports, ensuring we are always prepared for what's next.
  • Drive Accurate Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to challenge and refine their inputs, ensuring our forecasts are always precise and realistic.
  • In-Depth Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analyses to uncover the impact of changes in volume, price, and cost on the P&L.
  • Present Financial Insights: Be the voice of our financial health by presenting financial plans and results at team meetings.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Play a crucial role in customer negotiations, new product proposals, and the analysis of promotional plans.
  • Commercial Analysis and ROI: Conduct comprehensive commercial analysis of initiatives, providing invaluable support to the Off Trade team regarding pricing, promotions, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
  • Ensure Financial Accuracy: Guarantee the reliability of the P&L for your area of responsibility, from revenue and sales volume to brand contribution.
  • Leverage Advanced Tools: Utilising existing tools to leverage reporting (Adaptive, PowerBI, etc).
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Support: Be the go-to expert for ad hoc data and analysis requests from the Commercial Finance Lead, Sales, and Marketing teams.

Key Relationships - Internal & External: Work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance to lead consolidated reporting across the Group. This will require supporting the wider Commercial Finance team as well as associated Departments.

Health & Safety: Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times. Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog.

General: Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times. Take part in crew reviews throughout the year.

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training: Degree qualified with a strong academic track record. Part Qualified accountant (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA).

Experience: Experience gained in an organization or environment with a high degree of complexity and pace. A background in businesses going through rapid growth is desirable.

Knowledge: Commercial awareness.

Skills: Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Excellent Excel capabilities with experience of manipulating large volumes of data. Ability to prioritise and adapt to workload.

Personal Attributes: Inquisitive nature and driven to challenge and improve current practices. Self-starting and able to build strong relationships across the business. Credible, with the ability to influence decision making.
