About The Role

Job Purpose

This is an exciting role. It isn’t about just posting pictures of beer; it’s about making BrewDog’s flagship bar in Waterloo (yes, theone with the slide!) impossible to ignore - bringing the bar’s personality, people, products and experiences to life across socialand digital.As Digital & Social Executive, you’ll own the day-to-day online presence of BrewDog Waterloo. From creating engaging short-formvideo and reactive content to building and updating event pages, promoting live sport and events, and making sure customerscan easily find everything they need to book and visit, you’ll make the most of every opportunity to get people through the doors.Your mission: build a social presence people actually want to follow, keep our digital channels fresh and engaging, and turnonline attention into footfall, bookings and sales.And you won’t be doing it alone. Working closely with our passionate bar team, General Manager and Sales &Marketing team, you’ll combine creativity with commercial thinking to drive local awareness, grow our community anddeliver against key KPIs – from social and campaign performance to bookings and ticket sales.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the creative vision for BrewDog Waterloo’s social channels, developing bold, innovative andculturally relevant content that brings the people, personality, food, beer, events and atmosphere of the bar tolife across Reels, TikTok and Stories.

  • Own the day-to-day social content calendar, from concept and creative development through to filming,editing, copywriting and publishing, with a strong understanding of what makes great social-first hooks,storytelling and content.
  • Stay ahead of trends, culture, sport and local conversations, proactively identifying opportunities to createreactive content and test new formats that grow reach, engagement and relevance.
  • Bring BrewDog’s tone of voice to life across every digital touchpoint, ensuring content feels bold, human,witty and distinctly BrewDog while remaining relevant to the Waterloo audience.
  • Build and nurture the Waterloo community, owning day-to-day engagement across social channels,responding to comments and DMs, engaging with relevant local communities and encouraging crew andcustomers to create and share authentic content.
  • Own and maintain the Waterloo website on Shopify, keeping content, menus, offers and key informationaccurate, engaging and commercially optimised.
  • Create and manage event pages, landing pages and listings across platforms including DesignMyNightand Eventbrite, ensuring event details, imagery, timings, ticketing and booking informationare accurate and upto date.
  • Lead the promotion of key commercial activity, including bookings, events, live sport, launches, offers andseasonal campaigns, aligning activity to ticket sales, bookings and wider campaign KPIs.
  • Identify and develop local creator, influencer and business partnerships, organising collaborations andvisits that build awareness, generate content and introduce new audiences to the bar.
  • Work closely with the General Manager, bar team and central Marketing team to bring campaigns to lifelocally, identify opportunities and ensure social and digital activity supports wider commercial priorities.
  • Regularly audit Waterloo’s digital presence and performance, using social and digital insights tounderstand what is working, identify opportunities and continually improve content, reach, engagement, footfalland sales.

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training

Degree-level qualification (preferred but not essential).

  • Social media, content creation or digital marketing experience.
  • Confident using social media platforms, content and editing tools, with a willingness tolearn new platforms and technologies.

Experience

Experience managing social media accounts, ideally within hospitality, entertainment,lifestyle, retail or another fast-moving consumer environment.

  • Proven ability to take content from concept through to filming, editing, copywriting andpublishing.
  • Experience using social media insights and analytics to understand performance andimprove future content.
  • An understanding of digital platforms, websites and event listing platforms.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of social media, hospitality and lifestyle trends.
  • Knows what makes a great social-first hook, story and creative.
  • Awareness of local marketing and how social media can drive real-world footfall andsales.

Skills

  • Comfortable being behind and in front of the camera when required.
  • Strong content creation skills, including filming, editing and copywriting.
  • Excellent written communication and storyteller.
  • An innovator and creative thinker with great organisational skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of the local social calendar.
