This is a unique opportunity to help build Sage Appliances\’ local presence, crafting our voice in the UK market and setting the tone for how our brand shows up socially. You\’ll be our go-to expert on the ground, working closely with our global social team (based in Sydney HQ) and our EMEA teams in London and Düsseldorf.
As a brand grounded in coffee, we\’re looking for someone who brings genuine curiosity (and ideally a bit of personal obsession) for the world we work in. Whether it\’s knowing the difference between a flat white and a cortado, or spotting the next big TikTok coffee creator, we want someone who gets the space we play in.
You\’ll be the curator of our flagship UK social media channels, responsible for crafting clever, engaging copy to managing a schedule that resonates, and getting hands-on in the creative execution. We want to see your fresh ideas and innovation to help elevate our storytelling online. You\’ll also play a pivotal role in coordinating influencer collaborations and creator partnerships into our social media strategy, working closely with our PR Manager to build a seamless content pipeline. Whether its wrangling Influencer approvals, shooting Employee Generated Content or bringing our events to life on social, you\’ll be the steady hand keeping things on-brand and on-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and publish content across Sage UK social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand\’s voice, while leveraging local and cultural social trends to captivate and engage audiences and grow the brand\’s followership.
- Localise Sage\’s social media presence in the UK, shaping tone, voice, and community.
- Operate in a matrixed structure, with a dotted line connection to the EMEA PR & Partnerships Manager to execute influencer outcomes, as well as support the amplification of PR initiatives like events and brand partnerships on social.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Creative and Content Specialist to help execute creative ideas at a local level, including supporting content creation and asset production as needed.
- Curate our social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with the brand\’s identity, resonates with audiences, and maintains a cohesive and inspiring aesthetic.
- Manage day-to-day community interactions, responding to comments and messages fostering engagement and brand loyalty.
- Proactively identify and champion new social media features, trends and creative opportunities to keep our brand ahead of the curve.
- Reporting to the Global Social Media Manager, contribute insights to support the development and refinement of social media strategies, as well as the rollout of new digital initiatives.
- Work closely with the Global Social Media Manager to monitor and analyse performance metrics, providing actionable insights and suggesting platform-specific improvements.
- Develop and maintain systems to manage a high volume of content, including project timelines and asset organisation.
- Build strong relationships with EMEA teams to coordinate and organise regional priorities, as well as be flexible and available for occasional after-hours meetings to accommodate different time zones for our Sydney, Australia HQ.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of social media marketing and/or content creation experience.
- Proven experience in managing branded social media accounts.
- Excellent copywriting skills and proven ability to craft engaging, clever and refined copy for brands.
- A solid foundation in social media best practices, branding and marketing principles, and a deep understanding of current social media trends, platform features, and emerging formats.
- Is a cultural-tastemaker who has their finger on the pulse of the latest food trends, design trends, and emerging influencers. A passion for food and coffee is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing a high volume of content, deadlines, and priorities.
- Comfortable working remotely, with teams across time zones.
- Experience in social media management software.
- Skills in content editing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar software is highly desirable.
- Native-level English language. Multilingual skills, or languages other than English are of interest and desirable.
