We're looking for a proactive and organised HR Adviser to join a small, busy HR team within a Financial Services organisation during an exciting period of change.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you'll provide first-line HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle, while helping to deliver key people processes and improve the employee experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration, including contracts, employee records, starters, leavers and payroll changes.
  • Coordinate onboarding, pre-employment checks and compliance.
  • Support performance reviews and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Produce accurate HR MI and reporting, including headcount, absence, attrition and recruitment data.
  • Support absence management and escalate complex matters where appropriate.
  • Respond to HR queries and provide guidance in line with policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to HR projects, change initiatives and process improvements.

About you

You'll ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Previous experience in an HR Adviser or HR Generalist role.
  • Experience within Financial Services or a regulated environment is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence working with HRIS, Excel, HR data and reporting .
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work independently.
