Qualifications

PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18)

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
  • Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually for separate class placement and 1:1 positions.
  • Experience working with children.

PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19)

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
  • Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually for separate class placement and 1:1 positions.
  • Experience working with children.

Certifications/License

  • Valid State Driver’s License required.
