We are looking for a Frontier Markets Strategist / Economist to join our Emerging Markets team. This role will be central to developing and communicating macro views and trade strategies across FX, rates, and credit markets in frontier economies within MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), and the CIS.The strategist will provide in-depth macroeconomic analysis, generate actionable investment ideas, and work closely with the Head of EM Research.Responsibilities:Conduct macro research and market strategy on frontier economies with a focus on FX, rates, and sovereign credit.Assess fiscal, monetary, and external sector dynamics to identify key risks and opportunities.Monitor policy shifts, IMF programs, and debt restructuring processes across covered markets.Build and maintain models for FX valuation, debt sustainability, and rates/credit spreads.Collaborate with EM research and portfolio managers to translate macro views into trade ideas.Contribute to internal strategy discussions, portfolio reviews, and risk management processes.Represent the firm in research output, client conversations, and market commentary.This is an exciting opportunity to be a key thought leader on frontier markets within a top hedge fund.
