WeareseekinganexperiencedandhighlymotivatedSeniorSiteReliabilityEngineer(SRE)tojoinoursmall,agileengineeringteam.Thisroleofferstheuniqueopportunitytodrivethereliability,scalability,andperformanceofourcoreplatformwithahighdegreeofautonomyandownership.
Thesuccessfulcandidatewillsplittheirtimebetweenprovidingexpertoperationalsupportforourcriticalsystemsandleadingexcitingnewinfrastructureprojects.Ourmindsetistogettherightpersonnotthepersonwiththeskillsthatmatchourstack.Itisimportanttobeabletoforeseeproblemsbeforetheyshowupandcreatesolutionsthatmitigatethem.Ifyouenjoyachallengingenvironment,implementing“infrastructureascode”principles,anddirectlyseeingtheimpactofyourwork,thisistheplaceforyou.
WhatYouWillDo
- Design&Build:Architect,deploy,andmaintainhighlyscalableandreliableinfrastructureonGoogleCloudPlatform(GCP)usingKubernetesandInfrastructure-as-Codetools.
- Automation:Championautomationacrosstheentiresoftwaredevelopmentlifecycle(SDLC),utilizingIaC,PythonandBashtoreducetoilandimproveoperationalefficiency.
- Infrastructure-as-Code(IaC):OwnandevolveourdeclarativeinfrastructureusingTerraformforcloudresourcesandHelmforKubernetesapplicationdeployment.
- Monitoring&Observability:Implementandmanagerobustmonitoring,alerting,andloggingsolutionstoensureclearsystemvisibilityandproactiveissueidentification.
- Reliability&Performance:Define,measure,andenforceServiceLevelObjectives(SLOs)andServiceLevelIndicators(SLIs).Participateinon-callrotation(ifapplicable)andleadpost-incidentreviewstodrivecontinuousimprovement.
- Collaboration:Workcloselywithsoftwaredevelopmentteamstoprovideexpertguidanceondeploymentstrategies,scalabilityconcerns,andcloud-nativebestpractices.
- Ownership:Takefullownershipofprojectsfrominceptionthroughtoproductionoperation,includingdocumentationandknowledgetransfer.

CoreTechnicalStack
- CloudPlatform:4+yearsofhands-onexperiencewithGoogleCloudPlatform(GCP)(orsimilarcloudinfrastructure).
- ContainerOrchestration:Expert-levelproficiencyinmanaging,scaling,andtroubleshootingproductionKubernetesenvironments.
- Infrastructure-as-Code:DeepexpertiseinTerraformformanagingcloudandKubernetesresources.
- Deployment:StrongexperiencewithHelmforpackaginganddeployingapplicationsonKubernetes.
- Scripting/Programming:Proficientinatleastonemajorprogramminglanguage,preferablyPython,forautomationandtooldevelopment.

- CI/CD:ExperiencesettingupandmaintainingmodernCI/CDpipelines.
- Observability:Practicalexperienceimplementingandmanagingmonitoringandloggingtools.
- Networking:SolidunderstandingofTCP/IP,loadbalancing,DNS,andcloud-nativenetworkingwithinKubernetes.
- OperatingSystems:Strongcommand-lineskillsandexperiencewithLinuxsystems.
