The Role – You will oversee pallet distribution operations, manage network relationships, monitor KPI’s and lead operational teams to ensure service excellence across collections, deliveries, trunking and hub operations. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Management of all daily Pallex operations.
- Coordination of trunking schedules, delivery routes and collection planning to maximise efficiency and service levels.
- Ensuring that freight is processed accurately and within Pallex network standards.
- Monitoring of agreed KPI’s.
- Liaising with Bretts internal teams to ensure seamless operation flow.
- Management of the pallet scanning compliance and freight tracking accuracy.
- Leadership, motivation and development of all staff involved in the Pallex operation.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships within the Pallex Customer and Network.
Ideal Candidate Must Be Able to Demonstrate:
- Previous experience within the pallet network.
- Strong understanding of Pallex or palletised freight systems.
- Experience of managing transport and warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent IT skills including transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
- CPC National Qualification.
- Proactive and solution focused.
- Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- Commercially aware with attention to detail.
- Reliable, adaptable and highly organised.
- Ability to lead by example and build strong working relationships.
- Desirably you will have had previous experience of Pallex Network Operations including knowledge of DVS, FORS and fleet compliance standards.
