Bretton Architectural Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join our growing team. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book with Tier 1 main contractors, we are looking to strengthen our management team with a capable, organised and commercially aware individual who can help deliver high‑quality aluminium window, door, curtain walling and façade packages across a range of commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established specialist subcontractor with a strong reputation for quality, technical knowledge and project delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from order placement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to specification and within budget. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple façade / aluminium glazing projects from start to finish
- Liaising with clients, main contractors, architects, consultants and site teams
- Reviewing programmes, drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Coordinating design, procurement, manufacture and installation activities
- Attending site meetings and internal project reviews
- Managing site labour, subcontractors and installation teams
- Monitoring quality, health and safety, progress and commercial performance
- Identifying, recording and managing variations
- Supporting valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with client expectations and Bretton standards
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar role
- Experience within aluminium glazing, curtain walling, windows, doors, façades or specialist subcontracting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to manage programmes, site teams and client relationships
- A practical understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site coordination
- Commercial awareness and experience managing variations and project costs
- A proactive, professional and problem‑solving approach
- SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS or relevant construction qualifications would be beneficial
