We are currently seeking a Site Manager to join our team at Ipswich Port. This is a key role responsible for the overall safe, efficient and profitable operation of a busy site. Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders you will guide the team and play an integral role working collaboratively with the site team to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence.
To manage day‑to‑day operations on site alongside the site supervisor ensuring forward planning and operational excellence.
To manage the performance of the team in line with business expectations.
To build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
To communicate clearly with colleagues in the Commercial and Transport team.
To continuously improve the Safety, Health and Environmental performance of the site.
To minimise downtime of the processing operation whilst maintaining high standards of housekeeping on site.
To manage costs on site in line with budgetary requirements.
A strong leader with a can‑do attitude.
A candidate with previous experience in a leadership role.
A candidate with excellent organisational skills, able to organise own and others’ time effectively.
A candidate who can deal with regulatory bodies and inspire confidence in them that the site is being competently managed.
A candidate who holds or is willing to work towards a Level 6 SHEQ qualification.
A candidate who can demonstrate financial management of a Profit and Loss account.
