About the Role

Join Brett Concrete as our new Transport Manager! We’re looking for someone to lead our fleet operations, optimising performance and profitability across multiple sites. This is a high-impact role reporting to the business Managing Director. You'll bring strategic vision, strong leadership, and commercial acumen to align fleet operations with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the transport fleet in compliance with current legislation and ‘O’ Licence requirements.
  • Drive a successful Health, Safety and Environmental culture and performance.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on future transport strategy including operating models, fleet procurement and legislation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise fleet performance and profitability.
  • Set and achieve KPIs to drive operational improvements.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Leverage data to enhance fleet efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers for seamless operations.
  • Monitor and improve transport efficiency and profitability.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proactive leader capable of operating at all organisational levels, contributing effectively to the senior management team.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • CPC qualification in Road Transport Operations (National or International).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (advantageous).
  • Strong commercial acumen, aligning operations with business goals.
  • Extensive experience managing fleet performance and driving operational improvements.
  • Skilled in budget management, cost control, and value optimisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement and influence.
