Street Lighting Electrician in Nottingham

Base Location: Nottingham

Salary: From £27,011 to £31,094 depending on skills and experience and working hours – Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday‑Thursday 7am‑3pm, Friday 7am‑2:30pm. Overtime available for those who want it.

Enerveo has an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK. Through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance, we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints, helping towns and cities become smarter, greener, and more efficient.

What will I be doing in this role?

• Maintaining our streetlighting infrastructure including but not limited to streetlights, signs, and subways including lamp changes, visual inspections, and electrical testing.
• Carrying out electrical connections to new street lighting infrastructure.
• Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public.
• Operating a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP).
• Attending the emergency standby rota, which consists of being on call to attend emergency call‑outs out of hours, Monday to Sunday.
• Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations.

What do I need to be successful in the role?

• You will have an electrical background and will have completed an apprenticeship achieving an NVQ Level 3.
• Be able to work as part of a team and to be able to work alone when the job requires.
• Comfortable working outdoors all year round.
• Comfortable with working in a MEWP above the ground more than 12m.
• You must have a full UK driving licence as we cover a wide range of locations.

Nice to have qualifications:

• Holding IPAF/PASMA working‑at‑height training.
• Good knowledge of the 18th Edition Qualification to AM2, City and Guilds 2391 – a benefit but not essential.
• Completion of the G39 Electrical Safety training course in the planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of public lighting and other street furniture.
• An HGV Class 2 licence.
