These challenging shift-working positions report directly to a Production / Business Unit Manager and demand a high degree of leadership, analytical, team working and influencing skills.
The role will
- Provide leadership to a team of people in all aspects of production, training, Health & Safety, housekeeping, Quality, appraisals, projects and discipline in a specific area of control.
- Have day-to-day responsibility for achieving the high standards of production and quality required within Production Departments.
- Play an integral part in improvement initiatives through team motivation and leading by example.
The person will
- Have 3 – 5 years\’ supervisory experience preferably in high speed continuous processing manufacturing environment.
- Ideally hold an NVQ Level III in Management or a recognised management qualification.
- Have good IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate a strong technical background and be prepared to get involved in a “hands on” capacity when required.
- Demonstrate practical experience of planning, scheduling and performance monitoring.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills.
