Brett Martin is a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products. Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a number of new Production Operators to join us.

As a Production Operator at Brett Martin, you will work:

  • 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights, including weekends
  • 40.25 or 46 hours per week, depending on shift pattern
  • 7 or 8 out of every 14 days/nights, depending on shift pattern
  • £14.88 - £16.69 average per hour inclusive of shift premium (basic hourly rate is £12.71)
  • Salary up to £34,310.99 inclusive of shift premium

About The Role

Main purpose: To carry out required duties on production lines including ancillary machinery and to ensure that finished products are of the required standard.

Main tasks and duties:

  • Quality control and inspection of finished products
  • Packaging of finished products ensuring they meet required quality standards
  • Ability to work with warm water (personal protective equipment supplied if required)
  • Participate in training and improvement activities and to train others as required
  • Be willing and capable to learn new and established processes and procedures within given time-scales as required by the Production Manager
  • Ensure that all output and product output sheets are completed on their shift and that any problems relating to scrap or downtime are clearly documented

  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
  • A good level of English both written and verbal
  • Can work 12 hour shifts, including weekends
