Injection Moulding Machine Setter – Newtownabbey

Brett Martin is a well-established global manufacturer of plastic and building products. Due to growth and investment, we are seeking an Injection Moulding Machine Setter to join our innovative team, working with state-of-the-art machinery.
Work Schedule: 12-hour continental shifts (rotating days and nights), approximately 40.25 hours/week, 7 out of 14 days/nights, at £20.83/hour including shift premium.
Main Responsibilities:
- Optimize running conditions for injection moulding tools and machines.
- Monitor performance against schedules and standards, adjusting to variances.
- Maximize raw material utilization.
- Manage activities related to new product/process introductions.
- Conduct material evaluations and selections.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, and process development for moulds and equipment.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years\’ experience in injection moulding setting in high-volume manufacturing.
- Knowledge of robotic automation, including setup and optimization of Cartesian and 6-axis robots.
- Experience with TPM framework and autonomous maintenance.
- Understanding of thermoplastics, tooling, and injection moulding processes.
- Familiarity with brands like Engel, Arburg, Demag, KraussMaffei.
- Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and experience with measurement tools and technical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NVQ/BTEC in Polymer Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Relevant Polymer Processing or Injection Moulding certification.
