Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a new Injection Moulding Machine Setter, who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
As a Injection Moulding Machine Setter, you will work:
12-hour continental shifts (rotating days and nights)
Average of 40.25 hours per week
7 out of every 14 days / nights
£20.83 per hour inclusive of shift premium
About The Role
Main functions of job:
To achieve optimum running conditions for Injection Moulding tools, machines and their relevant processes by utilising resources and time available.
Main tasks and duties
Monitor performance against planned schedules and specific standards including cycle time and Quality Assurance and act against variances in order to achieve maximum efficiency;
Maximises the utilisation of raw materials through efficient machine operation;
Ownership of all activities within the moulding element of new product / process introductions;
Conduct material evaluations, analysis and selection recommendations;
Coordinate installation, commissioning and process development / optimisation for moulds and ancillary equipment;

Desired Criteria
- NVQ / BTEC in Polymer Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Relevant Polymer Processing / Injection Moulding certification from recognised training provider
Required Criteria
- 3 –5 years\’ hands-on experience in injection moulding machine setting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven knowledge of robotic automation, including setup and optimisation of Cartesian and 6-axis robots.
- Experience working within a TPM framework, with a strong focus on autonomous maintenance.
- In-depth understanding of thermoplastics, tooling, and injection moulding processes.
- Familiarity with leading moulding machine brands such as Engel, Arburg, Demag, KraussMaffei, or similar.
- Good mechanical aptitude with experience in identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Competent in using measurement equipment and interpreting technical drawings
