Production Operator

Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a number of new Production Operators to join us. As a Production Operator at Brett Martin, you will work: 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights, including weekends 40.25 or 46 hours per week, depending on shift pattern 7 or 8 days out of every 14 days/night, depending on shift pattern £14.87 – £16.68 average per hour inclusive of shift premium (basic hourly rate is £12.71) Salary up to £35,584.99 inclusive of shift premium About The Role Main Purpose: To carry out required duties on production lines including ancillary machinery and to ensure that finished products are of the required standard. Main Tasks and Duties: Quality control and inspection of finished products; Packaging of finished products ensuring they meet required quality standards; Assisting with machinery as required; Ability to work with warm water (personal protective equipment supplied if required); Maintain work area to required standard; Deal with non-conforming materials, processes and products in accordance with Company procedures; Participate in training and improvement activities and to train others as required; Be willing and capable to learn new and established processes and procedures within given time-scales as required by the Production Manager; Ensure that all output and product output sheets are completed on their shift and that any problems relating to scrap or downtime are clearly documented.
