An opportunity has arisen at our busy Ipswich Port depot for a Site Operative to join the Brett Aggregates team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced marine and rail environment, where safety, teamwork and attention to detail are essential. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient handling, production and dispatch of aggregates while supporting the day-to-day running of the site.
Responsibilities
- Safely operating mobile and fixed plant, including routine daily, weekly and monthly inspections, reporting defects immediately.
- Loading and despatching materials efficiently while delivering a professional service to customers.
- Carrying out general site maintenance and housekeeping to keep the site, plant, roads and stockpiles clean, safe and well organised.
- Continuously monitoring product quality, reporting any changes or issues without delay.
- Actively contributing to a positive Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) culture by reporting near misses, hazards and improvement opportunities.
- Supporting the Site Supervisor with paperwork and basic administration where required.
