About The Role
We’re currently looking for a motivated and reliable individual to cover our concrete batching plants in cases of holiday, sickness, absence and training across Kent and Sussex areas. When providing cover, you’ll be responsible for the daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently and to high standards. You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the coordination, compliance and safety across our operations. This is a full‑time permanent position based in the Southeast of England covering Kent and Sussex areas. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm, Saturday 7am – 12pm.
What you’ll do as a Relief Plant Supervisor:
- Lead our busy concrete plants and ensure smooth daily operations when providing holiday/sickness/absence and training cover.
- Produce concrete in line with quality standards to meet customer expectations.
- Liaise regularly with drivers and dispatch to ensure efficient batching and deliveries.
- Monitor plant performance and address operational issues promptly.
- Manage stock controls, plant equipment and delivery records.
- Be responsible for managing the safety, health and environment standards onsite.
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent telephone manner and proven experience within a similar plant-based role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with an understanding for customer requirements.
- Experience in the ready‑mix concrete industry.
- Qualified to drive a loading shovel would be an advantage.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Computer Literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel across our Brett Concrete locations as and when required.
