About The Role

We’re currently looking for a motivated and reliable individual to oversee the daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently and to high standards. You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the coordination, compliance and safety across our operations. This is a full‑time permanent position based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Working hours Monday to Friday 7am‑5pm, Saturday 7am‑12pm.

What you’ll do as a Plant Supervisor

  • Lead our busy concrete plant and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Produce concrete inline with quality standards to meet customer expectations
  • Liaise regularly with drivers and dispatch to ensure efficient batching and deliveries
  • Monitor plant performance and address operational issues promptlyManage stock controls, plant equipment and delivery records
  • Be responsible for managing the safety, health and environment standards onsite.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent telephone manner and proven experience within in a similar plant-based role.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with an understanding for customer requirements.
  • Experience in the ready‑mix concrete industry
  • Qualified to drive a loading shovel would be an advantage
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
