We are looking for a dynamic and results‑driven Specification Sales Manager to drive brand awareness and build strong relationships with key customer groups, including landscape architects, local authorities, engineers and specifiers. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in specification sales, with a strong ability to identify and convert high‑quality leads into tangible sales growth. Knowledge of commercial landscaping and Barbour ABI is desirable.
This role requires excellent communication, planning and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. With a hands‑on approach, you will take ownership of key projects from design to on‑site delivery, ensuring seamless execution. A full UK driving licence is essential.
About Your Role
- Develop robust relationships and awareness of the brand within our key targeted customer groups of landscape architects, local authorities, engineers and specifiers.
- Increase volume, market share, revenue, and margin by identifying and validating quality sales leads of premium face mix products, specialist kerbs and permeable products for the sales team to follow up.
- Develop robust solution‑driven specifications and drive the implementation of specific sales & marketing campaigns, product promotions & launches where appropriate.
- Identify and target key projects which will remain under your ownership following through from design to delivery on site.
- Generate sales through proactive lead validation and project chasing prior to the hand over to the relevant Civils Sales Manager.
We're Looking For
- Specification sales experience is essential; commercial landscaping expertise and knowledge of the Barbour ABI is desirable.
- Proven ability to deliver sales growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong planning and organisational ability.
- Self‑motivated and inquisitive.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and able to work under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence.
