We are looking for a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, driven, and eager to make an impact. While experience in heavy industry is preferred, it is not essential.
About Your Role
- Maintain plant and facilities to a high standard at all times.
- Minimise plant downtime while ensuring safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
- Oversee and improve plant and facility operations while adhering to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) guidelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Accurately report and document all maintenance work using the CMM system.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
- Assist in implementing engineering solutions and cost‑effective repairs.
- Support production and maintenance teams to exceed performance, quality, and safety targets.
We’re Looking For
- Time served apprenticeship.
- Qualified NVQ level 3 minimum.
- Proven experience within a leadership role.
- Good SHE awareness.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatical experience.
- Good fault‑finding skills.
- Experience of TPM and PPM systems.
- MIG/MMA welding experience desirable.
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Access).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
