We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to lead growth across the Midlands region. This is a field-based role focused on strengthening the Brett brand within the landscaping and building products market, developing strong relationships with builders’ merchants and installer networks, and driving demand through both direct and indirect sales channels. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing product visibility, generating new project opportunities, and delivering sustainable growth in volume, revenue, and margin, while working collaboratively to achieve regional targets and contribute to overall business success.
Take ownership of growing and strengthening the Brett brand across the Midlands region, increasing awareness and demand for the company’s manufactured product range.
Develop and manage strong relationships with both independent and national builders’ merchants, ensuring consistent engagement, product visibility, and commercial growth across depot networks.
Raise the profile of Brett products within the installer community, particularly in the driveways and patios sector, driving specification and demand that translates into increased merchant sales.
Deliver results against defined regional sales targets, contributing directly to the wider success and performance of the business.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with customers, installers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and a high standard of professional representation.
Proven experience within the construction materials, landscaping, or building products sector, with a strong understanding of brick and hard landscaping product markets.
Established network of contacts across builders’ merchants and installer communities, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive business growth.
Demonstrated success in a field-based sales role, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets within a defined territory.
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong determination to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently to a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness, with good numerical accuracy and the ability to analyse sales performance and opportunities.
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively while maintaining long-term, professional customer relationships.
Well-organised with strong time management skills, capable of managing a varied workload across a regional territory.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the Midlands region.
Must reside within the designated territory to ensure effective regional coverage and customer engagement.
