We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to lead our concrete operations in the Essex and Suffolk areas. This is a key leadership role within Brett Concrete, responsible for overseeing multiple concrete plants.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsible for all aspects of Operations, Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Sustainability. Budget responsibility for all aspects of operational spend including fixed and variable costs. Produce accurate financial forecasts for capital expenditure and exceptional maintenance spend. Provide leadership, recruit new members of staff, and ensure training and development plans are in place. Maximise plant availability and output through effective maintenance plans. Ensure accurate stock management procedures and controls are in place. Provide the highest level of customer service and product quality to Brett Concrete customers.

The successful applicant will possess or be prepared to work towards the relevant SHE qualifications, MPQC Level 4 Diploma (or similar and or started), IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, IEMA Environmental Sustainability for Managers or equivalent. Ability to lead and inspire a team of people at the highest standards with a minimum of 2-3 years’ leadership experience in a similar role, covering multi sites. Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a committed team as well as being a goal setting self-starter. In addition, demonstrate the ability to develop personal relationships with both external and internal customers and suppliers.
