About the Role
This role provides a high level of administrative support and assistance to Lawyers in the team. The overall objective of the role is to ensure that delegated duties are completed and returned to the appropriate Lawyer within a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Core tasks relating to the role include customer and matter inception including all associated file opening compliance tasks, EV checks and preparation of standard letter/email correspondence. The key to this role is exceptional organisational skills and a client-focused approach, ensuring the wider team operates smoothly and efficiently.
About you
We are looking for someone with proven Legal administration expertise to join our team. The role will suit Legal Assistants or a very strong administrator who can demonstrate very strong administration skills, who can work well under general direction against established priorities, processes and procedures and exercise some autonomy about how work tasks are performed. You will easily understand the duties and tasks delegated to you, of which some tasks may require some knowledge of the Practice Area. You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, whilst remaining professional and representing the Brethertons brand. You will be responsible for setting personal priorities and manage your own workflow subject to routine monitoring. You’ll be a great multitasker and able to support Lawyers in a confidential environment.
