We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our successful Estates Management Team to assist in delivering high quality Tenancy and Rent arrears Management. Brentwood Borough Council have a stock of circa 2500 properties and you would be responsible for your own patch. Our Housing Officers are generic and manage all aspects of a Tenancy from breach of Tenancy through to Anti-Social behaviour and Rent collection.
Responsibilities
- You will have experience of rent collection as a Social Landlord and be able to engage with customers to agree maintainable repayment agreements in respect of current rent and arrears.
- You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of welfare reform and be able to advise Tenants on this accordingly.
- As an experienced officer, you will be confident visiting Tenants in their homes to discuss concerns and be confident in identifying any support needs.

- Experience of rent collection as a Social Landlord.
- Ability to engage with customers and agree maintainable repayment agreements.
