Brentwood County High School, part of Osborne Co‑operative Academy Trust, is seeking an inspiring and visionary Deputy Headteacher to lead on Raising Standards of Achievement and Sixth Form provision. This is a pivotal strategic role for an exceptional leader who is passionate about inclusive education, high expectations for all, and evidence‑informed school improvement.

As a large and proudly inclusive 11-18 school rated GOOD (Ofsted, 2022), BCHS is continuing its ambitious journey of improvement. As Deputy Headteacher, you will:

  • Lead with integrity, vision and a relentless focus on raising standards for all learners.
  • Drive high-quality teaching and curriculum development through our ACE evidence-based approach.
  • Provide strategic leadership of Sixth Form, ensuring a thriving curriculum, excellent outcomes, and strong progression routes.
  • Support the Headteacher in the day‑to‑day operational management of a complex and dynamic school.
  • Shape and deliver school improvement priorities, working collaboratively within the trust's peer‑review model.
  • Model a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and positive behaviour.
  • Champion reading, achievement, and high‑quality assessment across the school.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, governors, and trust partners.
