The Role of the Match Day Safety Quality Assurer
To observe, monitor and uphold best practices and procedures of stewarding at Brentford FC and ensure that a high standard of security, safety and service is maintained in accordance with the general recommendations of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide) and the specific requirements of the Safety Certificate issued by the Local Authority under the Safety of Sports Ground Act 1975. Q&A stewarding staff and Supervisors on Matchdays to ascertain their knowledge and understanding of their’ s and the clubs responsibilities under such legislation.

Main Accountabilities
- To champion best practices and procedures of match day stewarding.
- To perform routine inspections of match day stewards and security personnel.
- To ensure that established standards and safety regulations are observed.
- To discuss issues and proposed solutions with supervisors.
- To provide constructive feedback make recommendations for improvements.
- To keep up to date with legislation and procedures relating to safety at sports grounds.
- To create match day reports of your observations and report these back to the Safety Team..
- To ensure at all times the Stewards code of conduct is adhered to.
- To follow safeguarding policies and procedures as outlined by Brentford FC and report any safeguarding/welfare incidents that may take place during, before and after an event.
- To communicate your availability efficiently & effectively with Brentford FC and assist in all activities as requested by the Match Day Safety Team. Attend training sessions when required.
- Assist in accordance with the Club’s Contingency Plans during any emergency incidents, pitch incursion/invasion. and evacuation of the stadium.
- Develop an excellent knowledge of the geographical layout of the Stadium in which you are employed, in particular its entry and exit routes and to know the emergency evacuation messages as relevant to all areas of the Stadium.

- To ensure compliance with the Club’s Safeguarding Policy and processes
- To promote and support positive mental health and wellbeing throughout the Club both on and off the field

Person Specification – Essential Characteristics
- Have a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Hold a minimum of a Level 3 or Higher qualification in Spectator Safety.
- Be committed to improving the Match Day Safety Operation through upholding high standards of stewarding.
