The Role of the Character (Furry) Mascot: The Character (Furry) Mascot is a key ambassador for the club and represents fun, fair play and inclusivity. The role of the mascot is to enhance the fans’ enjoyment of the matchday before and during games. The character mascot will wear a designated costume, interact with fans, and be a positive role model for the team and its fans.
- Represent Brentford FC: the mascot will act as a face of the club, promoting the team and its values.
- Entertain fans: the mascot will engage fans, with such activities as dancing, running, and posing for photos.
- Interact with fans: the mascot will interact with fans, especially children, providing a memorable matchday experience.
- Attend matches: the mascot would work as part of a team to cover home matches and some away matches, as required.
- Community engagement: the mascot would be required to attend a varied mix of local community events that support the club’s work locally.
- Maintain positive behaviour: the mascot would be expected to be a positive and enthusiastic role model for fans, especially children.
- Follow instructions: the mascot will follow the instructions of the Fan Relations team and other staff members to ensure safety and inclusivity at all times.
- Attend briefings: the mascot will attend pre-match and post-match briefings as required.
- Safeguarding: the mascot will ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.
