The Role of Casual Academy Coach
The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of the coaching programme within our development centres and with our U9-U16 Academy age groups alongside age group coaches to ensure we develop and recruit the best talent available within our catchment area.
Main Accountabilities
- To coach within the development centres and U9-U16 Academy age groups as requested.
- To motivate and develop the individual players whilst working within the Club’s coaching philosophy.
- To always adhere to the Academy Coaching standards and code of conduct.
- To deliver the Brentford FC Academy coaching philosophy as directed to best support player development.
- To work in collaboration with the Scouting and Recruitment Department for the talent identification, selection and retention of players.
- Form positive relationships with players and motivate them towards achieving their potential, ensuring their well-being and holistic development.
- To work together with parents to create an environment in which all children can thrive and showcase their talent.
- To have the ability to identify individual strengths and weaknesses and apply appropriate coaching, and tactical development tailored to the individual player.
- Attend all relevant coaching CPD events both internally and externally at the request of the Head of Academy Football Development.
- To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.
