We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academy Education Tutor to join our team. As an Education Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic journeys, providing personalised instruction and guidance. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high‑quality tutoring services to students of various ages and educational backgrounds, tracking learners’ progress and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer personalised tutoring sessions, tailoring instruction to students’ specific learning needs, goals, and curriculum requirements.
- Prepare engaging and structured lesson plans based on the student’s academic level and objectives, incorporating appropriate teaching methods and materials.
- Regularly evaluate students’ progress and learning outcomes through various assessment methods.
- Apply diverse teaching techniques and adapt approaches to meet the unique learning styles of individual students.
- Be available to work as an evening tutor for the YDP at least once a week.
- Track hybrid learners’ progress and liaise promptly with schools on progress.
- Maintain high‑level planning of curriculum and lesson plans.
- Attend MDT meetings, providing relevant information to the wider education department.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding learner progress, punctuality, and attainment.
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate the football calendar and adapt to changes in the education schedule.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher and Learning Status (QTLS).
- Safeguarding and protecting children, with knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.
- Minimum of undergraduate degree level.
- Up‑to‑date tracking of all learners, providing reporting platforms and constructive feedback to learners and parents in line with the Premier League’s 6‑week review cycle.
- High‑level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, organisational and adaptability skills.
- Empathetic and proactive approach to learner support and data tracking.
