Main Purpose of Job
To assist Pre-school Gymnastics, General Gymnastics and Display Group sessions to children and young people, with flexibility to work irregular hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery of gymnastics sessions, ensuring all participants receive appropriate coaching.
- Develop relationships with participants, teaching staff, support workers/carers, parents, and other key partners.
- Access all Quality Assurance staff training offered by the Trust.
- Ensure all equipment is available, well maintained, and stored properly.
- Provide feedback to coaches and parents where appropriate.
- Act as a point of contact in emergency situations.
- Stay informed about safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken.

Gymnastics Lead and coaching team, Senior Dance Coach, Schools Area Lead.
The Selection Criteria
- Essential: Experience in a gymnastics setting, desire to undertake coaching badges, safeguarding certificate, emergency aid certificate, current DBS, ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, experience in planning and delivering gymnastics sessions, understanding of physical education and long-term athlete development, ability to travel within West London.
- Desirable: Gymnastics Helper qualification, Gymnastics Level 1 qualification or working towards, dance experience, computer literate, minimum 12 months’ experience in coaching sessions.
