Staff will be required to undertake regular safeguarding training to enable and reinforce a proactive approach to safeguarding. This role requires the post holder to apply all relevant policies and uphold the club’s commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people to ensure a safe environment for all. The Role of Casual Academy Coach

The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of the coaching programme within our development centres and with our U9-U16 Academy age groups alongside age group coaches to ensure we develop and recruit the best talent available within our catchment area.

Main Accountabilities

To coach within the development centres and U9-U16 Academy age groups as requested.

To motivate and develop the individual players whilst working within the Club’s coaching philosophy.

To always adhere to the Academy Coaching standards and code of conduct.

To deliver the Brentford FC Academy coaching philosophy as directed to best support player development.

To work in collaboration with the Scouting and Recruitment Department for the talent identification, selection and retention of players.

Form positive relationships with players and motivate them towards achieving their potential, ensuring their well-being and holistic development.

To work together with parents to create an environment in which all children can thrive and showcase their talent.

To have the ability to identify individual strengths and weaknesses and apply appropriate coaching, and tactical development tailored to the individual player.

Attend all relevant coaching CPD events both internally and externally at the request of the Head of Academy Football Development.

To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.

General Club Accountabilities
