General Trust Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including safeguarding, health and safety.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally.

Main Purpose of Job
To provide Cheer sessions to children and young people in various settings. The post holder needs to be flexible and may work irregular hours. Successful candidates will be expected to attend 3 competitions a year.

This role requires work on:
Saturdays 8:30 - 15:00 (Richmond) but may lead to more work at other sessions across areas if able.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver & plan Gymnastics sessions, ensuring all participants receive coaching appropriate to their ability.
  • Create a safe and fun environment for all participants.
  • Help train & attend groups for displays offsite.
  • Develop relationships with participants, teaching staff, support workers, parents and other key partners.
  • Keep up to date monitoring including registers, risk assessments and relevant reporting documents.
  • Access all Quality Assurance staff training offered by the Trust.
  • Ensure all equipment is available and well maintained.
  • Provide feedback to teachers, coaches, and parents where appropriate.
  • Act as a point of contact in emergency situations.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.

The Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Minimum Gymnastics Level 1 (working towards 2)
  • Safeguarding certificate
  • Emergency Aid certificate
  • Current DBS
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in planning and delivering dance sessions.
  • Willing to lead and be fully involved in lessons.
  • Ability to travel to various workplaces within West London.
  • Flexible to work outside normal office hours.

Desirable:

  • Cheer Level 1
  • Dance Qualification or experience
  • Preschool Experience
  • SEN experience
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in delivering coaching sessions.
