**Reports to:** Senior Manager – School Sport & Post-16
**Responsible for:** Developing, overseeing, and implementing the coaching framework and philosophy for the entire post-16 programme in collaboration with the Senior Manager - School Sport & Post-16 and Head Coach.
**Salary:** £14 - £15 dependant on qualification and experience

**Main Purpose of Job**: The head Coach will support the delivery of high-quality football sessions across the post-16 programme. The post holder will assist in implementing the coaching framework and philosophy, contribute to player development both technically and physically, and ensure effective preparation for training and fixtures.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions within our Post-16 Programme
- Develop relationships with participants, parents and coaching staff
- Contribute to raising the profile and the perception of BFCCST in leading and developing Post-16 Football & Education
- Establish a relationship with local charter standard football clubs, local and national governing bodies to explore new opportunities for development
- Keep up to date monitoring including registers, VIEWS database, risk assessments and any relevant reporting documents
- To access all quality assurance and staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment
- To ensure all equipment is available and well maintained
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken
- To coach and mentor colleagues who are timetabled to contribute to the delivery of football curriculum

**Selection Criteria**:
- FA UEFA B, equivalent qualification, or higher qualification
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and relevant qualifications
- Previous experience in coaching football at grassroots or academy level
**Desirable**:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Coaching, Sports management, or a related field
- Experience coaching players 16-19 years
- FA UEFA A (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and transport via car
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills
