Casual Girls Academy Goalkeeper Coach
Department: Sports Participation Reports to: Head of Community Sport Responsible for: Supporting the planning, coaching, development and matchday programme for the U14/16s Girls Academy goalkeepers within the squad, whilst supporting the overall group, creating a high-performance environment that supports technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development.
Hours Per week: 7.5

The Trust is forecasting further significant expansion over the next two years following its appointment as a key partner in the redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park [as a sports hub], and its move to new, larger, purpose-built premises directly adjacent to the new Brentford FC 17,500 capacity stadium near Kew Bridge in 2021.

- Main Purpose of Job
The Goalkeeper Coach will plan, deliver and review the U14 & U16 Girls Academy goalkeeping programme in conjunction and in line with club’s playing philosophy and academy curriculum.
The role will include training sessions, player review, talent identification, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.
- Coaching & Player Development
- Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality goalkeeper training sessions.
- Create and maintain Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Provide regular feedback and player reviews.
- Support player progression through the female pathway.
- Academy Programme Delivery
- Implement the academy curriculum and playing philosophy.
- Work collaboratively with academy and pathway staff.
- Attend meetings, CPD events and staff development activities.
- Talent Identification & Recruitment
- Support player recruitment and talent identification events.
- Contribute to player selection decisions.
- Identify players capable of progressing within the pathway.
- Player Care & Welfare
- Build positive relationships with players and parents.
- Promote wellbeing, inclusion and personal development.
- Apply safeguarding policies and procedures consistently.

- Complete session plans, evaluations and player reports.
