This post will play a key role visiting supported accommodation across Brent. This is a primarily on-site role that will check and record the quality of support and accommodation residents are receiving, check there are no immediate concerns, try to resolve any challenges residents are experiencing, signpost to further support, and identify residents ready to move into independent living. This will directly inform the Council's supported housing strategy and inform which providers the Council supports, commissions and refers into - and which ones require improvement. This is a key role directly helping our most vulnerable residents, and also directly shaping the Council's approach to supporting those residents into the future.
The ideal candidate will be curious, kind and someone who enjoys solving problems. You'll be excited to get out and about in Brent, seeing the supported accommodation across the borough, and meeting and helping some of Brent's most vulnerable residents. You'll be able to collect information in a structured way to help the council understand what supported accommodation looks like in Brent, and how it can be improved. You're adaptable and are good at interacting with residents. Ultimately, you're motivated by upholding quality standards and helping vulnerable people.
