Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Housing Management Service is recruiting Income Assistants to support the Rent Income Team in delivering an effective and customer‑focused administrative service to residents across Brent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across a range of income management activities, including responding to resident enquiries and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support tenancy sustainment activity and assist with the monitoring and management of rent accounts.
  • Work closely with Income Project Officers, Area Tenancy Managers and wider Council services to deliver early intervention, resident support and positive community outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate data, update housing management systems and ensure residents receive a professional, responsive and empathetic service.

Qualifications

  • Organised, motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Experience carrying out administrative duties and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Desirable: experience within housing management, income collection or social housing services.
