The predicted salary is between 36000 - 42000 £ per year.
This position is open to Internal Applicants only at Brent Council. Salary range: £42,060 - £44,685 p.a. incl. London weighting. Contract: Permanent; Hours of work: 36 hours per week; Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time.

The postholder will work on a range of programme areas that are key to delivering the public health programme priorities to promote health and wellbeing and to reduce health inequalities. The post holder will have a focus on supporting some of the actions in developing and delivering the borough Food Strategy and increasing participation in physical activity for non-active residents within the borough to support in improving health and wellbeing. This will involve working with a range of partners and residents to meet their needs.
The Person
- Passionate about supporting local communities.
- Experience of working in public health or similar and working with the community.
- Passionate about supporting residents to have access to healthy, nutritious and affordable food.
- Knowledge and experience in health improvement, particularly physical activity.
- Knowledge and experience of how physical activity can help improve health and wellbeing.
- Experience in planning, coordinating and delivering workshops/meetings/sessions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Proficient in use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
