Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here. The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
The Role
You’ll sit at the heart of Brent’s new CPMO, providing high-quality analysis, reporting and insight across major programmes and projects. You’ll:
- Turn complex project data into clear dashboards and narratives
- Challenge and improve the quality of reporting
- Surface risks, trends and dependencies early
- Support better governance and accountability
This isn’t about producing reports for the sake of it — it’s about making information meaningful and usable, so action happens when it should.
Why this role matters
Behind every council programme is a question residents care about: Is this working? Is it on track? Is public money being used wisely? The CPMO Analyst exists to make sure those questions can be answered clearly, honestly and early — before problems escalate and before residents feel the impact of delay or failure. Your analysis will help senior leaders understand what’s really happening across Brent’s change portfolio, so they can make timely, evidence-based decisions that protect services and outcomes.
The Person
You’ll enjoy working with data, but you’ll care just as much about what it’s used for. You’re comfortable asking questions, spotting patterns, and explaining complex information to non-technical audiences.
You’ll Bring:
- Experience working in a PMO or project environment, supporting delivery across the full lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into clear insights
- Experience producing reports, dashboards or visualisations (e.g. Power BI or similar tools)
- Confidence working with stakeholders, including the ability to challenge and validate information
- A strong understanding of project and programme management methods and governance
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
You’ll be someone who is curious, detail-focused, and motivated by using data to support better decision-making and real-world outcomes.
