Overview
In this role you will manage a small highways team to coordinate street works under NRSWA and TMA, ensuring planned, compliant activity with minimal road disruption.
You will work closely with utilities, contractors and authorities to resolve conflicts and maintain safe, efficient streets.
The role combines leadership, permit oversight, and strategic coordination to deliver reliable highway services.
You will drive improvements in safety, efficiency and customer-focused service within Brent’s highways operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of four NRSWA Inspectors and one technical support officer
- Coordinate and deliver works on the public highway to minimise disruption
- Oversee submission of permits, TTROs and notices via Street Manager
- Act as primary liaison between utility companies, highway authority, contractors and the public
- Manage and minimise penalties and defect inspection costs
- Direct and control all works on the public highway
- Develop new approaches and use innovation to improve efficiency and customer focus
