We are looking for dedicated and skilled Social Workers to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team—where every decision you make has the potential to transform a child's future. The MASH is the first line of defence in safeguarding children, where vital decisions are made every day to protect children and support families. You'll work with partners in health, police, education, and other agencies to gather and analyse information, share intelligence, and make timely, proportionate decisions. The role focuses on swift referral assessment, ensuring every child's voice is heard and that families receive the right help at the right time.

Salary, contract and location

  • Salary range: £44,685 - £48,003 (PO2) / £48,003 - £51,138 (PO3) DOE (plus Golden Hello, Retention Payment and benefits)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours of work: 36 hours per week
  • Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Person

We want Social Workers who are:

  • SWE registered with experience in children’s social care (assessment, referral or child protection).
  • Skilled at multi-agency working and confident in applying legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Clear, analytical thinkers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passionate about safeguarding children and committed to making a real difference.
